Chinese Beef and Broccoli Recipe

A quick and flavorful Chinese Beef and Broccoli recipe that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and ginger, stir-frying for an additional minute.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, add beef broth and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Use flank steak for a more tender option.
