  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the sprinkles.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.
  • This bread can be made into muffins; just adjust the baking time to about 20-25 minutes.
