Creamy New York-Style Cheesecake

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add sour cream and flour, and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour.
  7. Remove from the oven and cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, let the cheesecake chill overnight.
  • Top with fresh fruit or whipped cream if desired.
