Frosted Coffee Brownies

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and cooled coffee, followed by the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool completely before frosting.
  9. For the frosting, whisk together the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and instant coffee until smooth.
  10. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and cut into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • These brownies are best served chilled.
