  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven, spread marinara sauce over each piece, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
