A creamy, indulgent twist on classic mac and cheese, featuring savory turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 4 ounces chicken ham, diced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chicken ham and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. In a separate pot, melt butter, then whisk in flour to create a roux.
  5. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add in the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper, stirring until the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Mix the macaroni, turkey bacon, and chicken ham into the cheese sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.

Notes

  • This dish can be customized with your choice of cheese.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
