Spooky Spiderweb Cupcakes

These spooky spiderweb cupcakes are the perfect treats for Halloween fun. Easy to make and oh so delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup frosting (for decoration)
  • 1 edible spider (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, and mix well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  7. Line a muffin tin with paper liners and fill each liner halfway with batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let the cupcakes cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, decorate the tops with frosting in a spiderweb pattern and place an edible spider on top.

Notes

  • For an extra spooky touch, use black and orange food coloring in the frosting.
  • These cupcakes can be made a day in advance.
